WYRD things are afoot in Shaftesbury…
Tickets are now on sale for Shaftesbury Arts Centre’s Music and Drama Group’s production of Wyrd Sisters, which runs from October 18 to 21.
The group promises “a play filled with fun, fantasy, mystery and drama”.
“Three witches attempt to have the rightful heir of Lancre restored onto the throne after the murder of the King by his brother and his wife, apparently within the realm of royalty, this is classed as natural causes,” a spokesperson said.
“However, the witches have vowed not to meddle in affairs of the Kingdom.
“They overcome this by doing just that and meddling in the affairs of the kingdom.
“With 23 scenes and 30 characters, come and join us as the story unfolds, passing through disorder, magic, hilarity, a love story, tragedy and of course, meddling, until balance is restored, and everyone lives happily ever after.
“Well, nearly everybody.”
Tickets are available from the Box Office on 01747 854321 or online via www.shaftesburyartscentre.org.uk.
