POLICE have released an image of a man they want to trace after a shocking attack on a car in North Dorset that left a vehicle badly damaged.
The incident happened at around 12.45pm on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in the Todber area, while people were still sitting inside the vehicle.
According to reports, a man approached the car and stood directly in front of it before climbing onto the bonnet and roof.
He then began jumping up and down on the vehicle, causing significant damage.
The situation escalated further when the man reportedly kicked the windscreen repeatedly until it shattered. Damage was also caused to a wing mirror.
Despite the alarming nature of the incident, those inside the car were able to drive away from the scene without injury.

Police Community Support Investigator Brett Hirst, of Dorset Police, said: “The driver was able to leave the scene and thankfully no occupants of the vehicle were injured.
“I am now issuing an image of a man I would like to identify and would ask anyone who recognises him to please come forward.”
Officers are continuing their enquiries and are urging anyone who recognises the man, or who has information about the incident, to get in touch.
