A FACTORY in Shaftesbury was closed after fire broke out
Three fire crews – two from Shaftesbury and one from Gillingham – were sent to the premises, in Longmead, at just after 6.15pm on Monday evening (November 21).
“The factory was evacuated and firefighters used fire safety equipment kept within the site to extinguish the blaze,” said a spokesperson for the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.
“There were no casualties and the crews advised the site to cease operations until tomorrow morning on safety grounds.”
