Clarke’s Auctions at Semley saw some strong results from their recent automobilia sale, with a rusty 1963 Lambretta LI 150 scooter restoration project selling for £2,500 including commission.
From a deceased estate, it has been owned and stored locally for the last 40 years and will require a full restoration before venturing out onto the road again.
Also selling well were a charming 1955 split-screen Morris Minor two-door saloon fetching £2,200 and a 1965 Land Rover Series 2 pick-up, selling for a shade over £1,250.
With the unprecedented prices for gold and silver at the moment, now is the time to consign any old jewellery or cutlery that may be languishing at the backs of drawers. Already consigned is a private collection of early 19th century Scottish silver to include teapots, sugar sifters, two-handled goblets, decanter labels, cream jugs, a tea caddy, ladles and cutlery.
They are now taking entries for their forthcoming Antiques and Collectibles sale to be held on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 of April, so please contact Richard Clarke or Karen Marshall on 01747 855109 at the main offices on Kingsettle Business Park, Station road, Semley, Shaftesbury for consignment, or for any enquiries regarding probate or insurance valuations.
