Royals recover from derby defeat with Poole win

After our defeat midweek in the North Dorset Derby to Sturminster Newton United FC infront of over 350 people at Park Road we today welcomed Poole Borough FC for our FINAL HOME game of the season and Poole Borough’s FINAL game of the season…

The game started with both teams creating decent chances but it took until the 23rd minute for the 1st goal to go in, Kempster played a beauty of a corner right onto SMITH head and he headed in! 1-0! That’s how it stayed until half time but both teams were attacking well and Poole Borough had a penalty shout on the 45th minute but the ref had a excellent view and waved it away.

HALFTIME- ROYALS 1-0 Poole Borough

The second half had alot more action and on the 50th minute mark Poole Borough counter on some poor defending from us and fired low into the net with a well taken goal! Then on the 70th minute Kempster played a nice ball to John who drilled a low cross to MANSON who finished excellently whilst facing away from goal! 2-1, then the game went abit slow until the 85th minute when Terry played a lovely ball through to WEBB who beat the offside trap then fired until the keeper! 3-1!
