PEOPLE are being urged not to approach a wanted man Nicholas Castle, who has links to Gillingham and Shaftesbury.
Officers believe the 26-year-old, who is wanted on a prison recall after failing to comply with the terms of his licence following his release from jail and failing to appear at court in connection with reported burglary offences, could be in the north Dorset area.
Detective Sergeant Richard Barnett, of Dorset Police, said: “We have been carrying out extensive enquiries to locate Nicholas Castle but these have so far proved unsuccessful.
“We believe he has been in the Shaftesbury and Gillingham areas of the county and he has ties to the area of South Wiltshire.
“I would urge anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to please contact us.
“While there is no information to suggest Castle presents a risk to the general public, we would urge anyone who sees him not to approach him but to instead dial 999 immediately.”
Anyone who sees Castle should call 999 immediately. Anyone with other information should call 101, quoting reference 55240056410, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
