Popular Poundbury restaurant on the move – to the premises next door!

A POPULAR Poundbury eatery is moving – to the premises next door.

The Square Bistro has revealed it is relocating to the neighbouring shop in Challacombe Square, Poundbury, formerly occupied by Rebecca’s Bakes.

Leigh Picton, chef patron at The Square Bistro, said the move allowed for “a few extra tables”, as well as more space in the kitchen.

“We hope to have opened our new venue by the end of January and can’t wait to welcome you all,” he added.

“We will still be open and running as usual in our current restaurant until New Year’s Eve. See you all soon.”

Pete House said: “Well done Leigh. Look forward to eating in your new premises in the new year.”

And Janette Green added: “That’s amazing news. Congratulations. Can’t wait to visit the new restaurant and glad we’re booked in in December to toast the old.”
