Police solve sheepnapping case in Sturminster Newton area

WHEN they heard of a lamb being sheepnapped from a Dorset field, ewe-niformed officers got on the case to solve the baa-rmy crime.

On Monday, members of Dorset Police’s Rural Crime Team were informed a lamb had been stolen from a field in the Sturminster Newton area.

And on Tuesday, a spokesperson said the in-vet-igation was launched.

“Today, officers from the Rural crime team made enquiries along with Sturminster Newton NPT and recovered the stolen lamb,” they said.

“One in custody for theft, and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.”
