A FIGHT in Bridport involving two men – one of whom had a knife – is being investigated by police.

Dorset Police is appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after the incident, in South Street, between 12.30am and 1am on Saturday (August 3).

It was reported one of the men was in possession of a knife, but no direct threats were made and no one was injured, said PC Dan White, of West Dorset police.

“We are carrying out enquiries to establish what happened and I am now keen to speak to any witnesses in the area,” PC White added.

“I would also ask any residents or businesses with CCTV, or motorists who were in the area with a dashcam fitted to their vehicle, to please check their footage for anything of relevance.”
