Officers searching for a missing 33-yr old local woman have confirmed the discovery of a body.
Following a positive sighting of the missing woman’s car near Bowleaze Cove at around 6.30pm, Coastguard helicopters were seen searching the local area late into the evening using high-powered spotlights.
This morning Avon and Somerset police confirmed, “…that a search for a missing woman from Yeovil has led to the discovery of a body near Bowleaze Cove, Dorset.
“While there’s not yet been any formal identification, the next of kin have been informed and are being supported, and our thoughts are with them.”
