Police car damaged in crash on busy A37 at Dorchester

POLICE are usually attending a crash to sort traffic and help any injured parties.

However, on Wednesday morning (February 15), a squad car was itself involved in a collision near the Weirs roundabout, on the A37 at Dorchester.

The damaged police vehicle was caught on camera by reader Simon Craft.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said no one was injured in the incident.

“It was reported that at around 10.40am on Wednesday, a collision occurred involving a police car and a Ford near to Weirs roundabout on the A37 near Dorchester,” they said.

“The road was cleared at around 11am. There were no reports of any injuries.

“No arrests were made and enquiries are ongoing.”
