Police called as spilled MEAT blocks Shaftesbury road

A SHAFTESBURY road was blocked this afternoon when crates of MEAT spilled out of the back of a truck.

The incident happened on St John’s Hill at around 12.15pm today (January 2), with upturned containers – and their spilled contents – blocking the route.

Police said officers were sent to the scene to manage traffic while the meat was cleaned up.

The winner of best pun in the social media comments in response to the gaffe has to be, ‘You can’t pork there mate’…
