UPDATE: Missing Evie Barnett, 14, found safe, say police

UPDATE: Teenager Evie Barnett, who went missing from West Dorset overnight, has been found safe.

Police confirmed the 14-year-old, who was reported missing having last been seen at around 8.50pm on Thursday (April 20), was found following searches, with assistance from Dorset Search and Rescue (DorSAR).

“We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.


A 14-YEAR-OLD girl has gone missing from West Dorset.

Evie Barnett was last seen at an address in Piddlehinton at around 8.50pm on Thursday (April 20) and despite extensive police searches and enquiries, she has not been found.

Dorset Police are now calling on the public’s help to find her.

She is described as four feet nine inches tall and of medium build, with mousey-brown hair that was worn down. She was last seen wearing a black top, green trousers and pink and green Nike trainers.

Inspector Luke Larcombe, of Dorset Police, said: “We have been carrying out searches and enquiries throughout the night in a bid to find Evie, but these have not been successful. We know Evie has been upset lately and we are very concerned for her.

“I would urge anyone who has seen Evie, or knows of her whereabouts, to please contact us.

“I would also like to make a direct plea to Evie if you see this – please get in touch and let us know where you are. We just want to check you are safe and well.”
