Police appeal after woman assaulted in Dorchester car park

POLICE are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted in a Dorchester car park.

The incident, in the Fairfield Car Park, unfolded at around 8.35pm on Sunday, March 15, when a woman in her 40s was assaulted by a man who was known to her.

The victim is not believed to have sustained any serious injuries.

PC Christopher Hallett, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and I am keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our enquiries.

“I would also urge motorists who were in the vicinity around the time of the assault to please review any dashcam footage for anything of relevance.”
