Police appeal after hit-and-run crash near Yeovil

A PERSON was taken to hospital after a hit-and-run crash near Yeovil.

The incident happened on the A30 between Yeovil and Crewkerne at around 11.40am on Thursday, June 15.

Avon and Somerset Police said a 2005-registration black Volkswagen Golf collided with another car.

“The driver of the other vehicle sustained whiplash and neck injuries and were taken to Yeovil District Hospital but has since been discharged,” a spokesperson said.

“We want to trace the Golf driver, who is described as a white male with a beard and likely to be in his 20s or 30s.”

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage should contact police on 101 and quote incident number 5223140882.
