Plan for One Stop signs at new Wincanton convenience store submitted

A PLANNING application for new signs at a proposed convenience store in Wincanton has been submitted.

Innovate Signs has applied to Somerset Council for permission to install One Stop signage at Bridge Motors Ltd, in Silver Street.

It comes after an application to convert the garage into a convenience store was submitted in June.

The new plans outline signage to be installed on the building itself, as well as in the car park area of the site.

The initial application outlined the change of use, which would create a “food convenience store to serve the locality and residents of Wincanton”.

“Also, facilities for goods delivery are provided by the separate entrance to the front elevation, at the far left-hand side.”

Parts of the existing boundary walls could be removed to enable improved access to vehicles for parking and deliveries, the plan added.
