New skatepark plans for Somerset village revealed

PLANS for a new skatepark in a Somerset village have been submitted.

The scheme submitted by Maverick on behalf of Stoke sub Hamdon Parish Council, would see the current facility at the recreation ground demolished and replaced with a new, 138 cubic-metre layout.

The current skatepark was installed more than two decades ago and will be recycled after being taken down, the application said.

“The old park will be demolished in its entirety and recycled to make way for the replacement skate park,” it said.
