New outdoor play trail unveiled at Gillingham primary school

PUPILS were full of smiles after the official unveiling of a new play area at a Gillingham school.

The outdoor play trail at St George’s School and Shining Stars Preschool, in Bourton, was funded through fundraising efforts of the PTFA.

It features new equipment aimed at providing children with “even more opportunities to be active, develop their balance and coordination, build confidence and, most importantly, have fun together during playtimes”.

Head teacher at St George’s, Jill Farndale, said: “We are absolutely delighted to see the children enjoying the new play trail. It is wonderful to watch them challenging themselves, encouraging one another and making the most of this fantastic addition to our playground.

“We are incredibly grateful to our PTFA and everyone who has supported their fundraising events. Your kindness and generosity have made a real difference to the everyday experiences of our children.”
