New Carers Education Course with Gillingham Medical Practice

Gillingham Medical Practice and Dorset Council
New Carers Education Course

The Social Prescribing Team at Gillingham Medical Practice and Carers Case Worker from Dorset Council will be running a joint  initiative to support informal carers.

The course will be held at Gillingham Library, will be fortnightly and start on Wednesday 16th February  2pm-3.30pm.

The aim is to support carers to recognise their own health needs and develop ways of improving their well-being. There will be support for physical health problems and looking after your mental health. There will also be time to share with others with lived experience and gain support from skilled workers over tea and biscuits.

There are still a couple of places so if anyone would like to come along please contact
gillingham.socialprescribing@nhs.net or call Liz Rose 07960043980 for more information.
Kindly supported by Gillingham Library and Waitrose.

The Social Prescribing team are available to help people with different social, emotional, or practical needs to find the right support and improve their wellbeing.
