A MYSTERY man found in Weymouth has been identified, according to police.

A member of the public has come forward to give details of the identity of the man, who was found near the seafront on Wednesday, September 28 last year.

“Officers who have been making enquiries to establish the identity of a man who was found in Weymouth are pleased to update that his identity has now been established,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.

“Following public appeals, a member of the public has been able to supply information about his identity – a 43-year-old man from Latvia.

“We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal or contacted us with information.”
