Musician Dan Baker, from Blandford, is walking 132 miles to Hyde Park Corner in London to raise money for the Stars Appeal Live charity.
He will be leaving Blandford at first light on Monday, May 9, and using byways, footpaths and canal walks to get to his destination on the afternoon/evening of Friday, May 13. He has been offered accommodation at the end of each day.
Salisbury charity Stars Appeal Live provides everything from music to visual arts to improve the well-being of hospital patients.
Dan plays at Salisbury, Sherborne and Wimborne hospitals, in addition to his other music work.
