A WOMAN celebrated her 103rd birthday after receiving more than 500 cards wishing her many happy returns.
Elsie Lancaster, formerly of Sherborne, celebrated the day on February 27 surrounded by family and friends – as well as the mountain of cards.
Elsie now lives at South Cary House, in Castle Cary, and received many of the cards after her family issued an appeal for people to send her a card to mark the occasion.
