A MAN was found with “serious injuries” after being involved in a crash with a car on a busy road near Dorchester.

Police are investigating after the incident, on the A35 Dorchester bypass between the Stadium Roundabout and the Max Gate turning, at 9.44pm on Friday (August 7).

The man, in his 40s, was involved in an incident with a silver Ford Fiesta and was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are “believed to be serious but not life-threatening”, police said, with his next of kin informed.

PC Max Vallance, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out a detailed investigation into this incident and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please get in touch.

“I would also ask motorists who were travelling in the area around the relevant time to please review any dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.”
