Man killed in crash involving car and tractor at Milton on Stour

A MAN in his 20s has died after a crash in Milton on Stour.

Police said the incident happened on Mapperton Hill at around 9.15pm on Friday night (September 29) and involved a tractor and a blue Audi A3.

“Very sadly, the male driver of the Audi – aged in his 20s from Wiltshire – was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.

“The driver of the tractor did not sustain any physical injuries.”

A road closure was put in place after the crash to “allow emergency services to safely deal with the incident and for a thorough examination to be carried out”, they added.

PC Tracey Downer, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “First and foremost, our thoughts are with the family of the man who has very sadly died in this collision.

“We are conducting a thorough investigation to establish the full circumstances of the incident and I would urge any witnesses to please contact us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything relevant on dashcam footage.”
