Man in his 70s passes away after crash near Frome

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a crash near Frome.

The incident happened at the Parkgate Lane junction of the A361 in Beckington, on Friday, March 24.

The crash involved a van and a car and the driver of the car, a man in his 70s, died in hospital from his injuries three weeks after the incident.

“We are appealing for witnesses who may have been driving along the A361 at the time of the incident,” said an Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson.

“We are also interested to speak to anyone with dashcam footage.”
