Man exposes himself in supermarket car park

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman reported seeing a man exposing himself in a supermarket car park in Gillingham.

The incident is said to have happened at around 10.40am on Tuesday, June 2, in the car park of Lidl in School Road.

According to Dorset Police, a woman was putting shopping into her car when she allegedly saw a man exposing himself nearby.

The man has been described as white, aged in his 70s, with white hair, and wearing a checked shirt and dark trousers.

Officers are now carrying out enquiries and are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time to come forward.

Investigators are particularly keen to hear from motorists or shoppers who may have been in the Lidl car park around the time of the reported incident and could have captured footage on dashcams.

PC Ashlea Gale, of Gillingham Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and I am keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our investigation.

“I would also urge anyone who was in the car park at the relevant time to please review their dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything of relevance.”
