Man dies following crash involving four motorbikes and a car near Warminster

A MAN in his 60s has sadly died after he was involved in a crash on the A36.

Wiltshire Police said a car and four motorbikes were involved in a crash at Knook near Warminster at 10.30am on Saturday (May 31).

A spokesperson said: “Sadly, a man aged in his 60s, who was riding a motorcycle, died as a result of his injuries.”

“Our thoughts remain with his family at this difficult time.”

The three other motorbike riders are in hospital for treatment for their injuries.

Three air ambulances were reportedly at the scene.

The road was closed between Deptford and Heytesbury and reopened yesterday morning (June 1).

Police are now appealing for witnesses to get in touch.
