A 20-YEAR-old Weymouth man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Sturminster Newton.
This comes after police were called to an address in Stourcastle on September 30 after it has been reported that a man had sustained stab wounds.
The man was taken to hospital for serious but not life-threatening injuries.
A woman was also reportedly assaulted at the address, but she did not sustain any serious injuries.
Police initially arrested an 18-year-old man from Sturminster Newton and a 20-year-old from Weymouth on suspicion of attempted murder, as well as a 53-year-old woman from Sturminster Newton on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

The 20-year-old man has now been charged with attempted murder and assault by beating.
He was due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (October 4) and is next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on November 6.
The 18-year-old man and 53-year-old woman have both been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
Detective Inspector Darren Stanton, of Dorset County CID, said: “Following detailed enquiries, we have consulted with the Crown Prosecution Service, which has authorised charges against an individual in this case.
“This matter will be subject to active court proceedings and it is vital that the justice process is allowed to follow its course.
“We would therefore urge members of the public to refrain from speculation or commentary relating to this case, particularly online and on social media.”
