Man charged following lorry crash near Dorchester which left man with life-changing injuries

A 45-YEAR-old man from Exeter has now been charged with causing serious injury by careless driving after two lorries crashed near Dorchester in 2024.

A blue and white Isuzu Tipper lorry and a white DAF rigid tanker lorry crashed at around 6.35pm on April 10 on the A35 near Winterbourne Abbas.

The Isuzu Tipper lorry driver was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries believed to be life changing.

The 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences, and following a detailed investigation, he was charged with causing serious injury by careless driving.

He has been issued with a postal requisition and is due to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on October 3.
