Man arrested after B3078 crash near Horton that left woman injured

A MAN was arrested after a crash which left a woman needing hospital treatment.

The incident happened on the B3078 Cranborne Road, near the Horton Inn at Horton, at around 2.55pm on Wednesday (May 3) and involved a red Ford Fiesta.

Police, along with the fire and ambulance services, attended the incident and freed a woman in her 40s from the vehicle.

She was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

Following enquiries at the scene, an 18-year-old man from Poole was arrested on suspicion of a road traffic offence.

PC Tom Pocock, of Dorset Police, said: “We are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident to please come forward.

“I am particularly keen to speak to a man in a black T-shirt who assisted the injured woman at the scene as he may have information to assist our investigation.

“Finally, I would also urge anyone who was driving in the area with dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please check their footage for anything of relevance.”
