Man, 39, died after falling from bridge over the A303 at Mere

A MAN sadly died in an incident on the A303 at Mere last night (April 14), police have confirmed.

The incident saw a man fall from a bridge across the A303 Mere Bypass at around 11pm.

Sadly, the 39-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

“His next of kin has been informed and they are being supported by officers,” a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said. “Our thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time.

“The road has now fully reopened and our investigation into the incident is ongoing.”
