Long-serving firefighter Michaelle steps down after more than 25 years

A LONG-SERVING Dorchester firefighter has retired after 26 years at the Dorset station.

Temporary watch manager Michelle Rodway had been at Dorchester since 2000, but stepped down from the role on June 12.

A station spokesperson said she had attended “many incidents not just locally but also in Bournemouth, Poole and even across the borders”.

“She will be massively missed, her dedication and loyalty are second to none,” they added.

“Thank you Michelle – it’s been an absolute pleasure.”
