Keeva, nine, shaves her head to raise money for children’s hospice

A DORSET girl has raised more than £600 for charity – by shaving her head.

Keeva Milne, from Stourton Caundle, made the brave decision to cut off her hair to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West.

And the nine-year-old has already earned £652, well on her way to a £1,000 target.

The hair was carefully cut and will be donated to the Little Princess Trust, who will use it to make a wig.

“At school we’ve done cookie sales to raise money for Morocco,” she said.  “And I just wanted to do it [shave her hair].”

Mum, Jasmine, said Keeva became interested in children’s hospices and wanted to learn more about what they do.

These conversations sparked the campaign.

How does she feel now all her hair is all gone?

“Bald,” she said. “And cold.”
