It’s all green for go at pupils’ gardening club project

Staff, parents and children at St Nicholas Primary School in Child Okeford have been using their green fingers for forest adventures.

It was a team effort to help get the Forest School area ready to start once again, with pond clearing, creating new paths, cutting undergrowth for a space perfect for den building and most exciting of all, the new fire pit has been created and tried out.

Each class will be using the Forest School and have the opportunity to take part in an after school Forest Club.

Gardening club members are also very happy with the expertise given to their projects from Martin Yovcheva, who built gardening beds for the children to plant spring bulb and replaced the tree stump seats for children to use when they are learning outside.
