MUSIC fans are being urged to register to vote in the July 4 general election – and be in with the chance to win festival tickets.
Events company Festival Republic, which runs the Reading and Leeds Festivals, is offering a pair of tickets to one lucky winner – so long as they vote.
The competition has been launched alongside the non-political justvote.uk website, which aims to give young people the information they need in order to cast their ballot on July 4.
But there is limited time to take part, with the deadline to register to vote at 11.59pm on Tuesday night (June 18).
If anyone voting then posts a selfie from a polling station on July 4 – tagging in the official Reading and Leeds Twitter or Instagram accounts (@officialrandl) – they could win a pair of tickets the 2024 or 2025 events.
The website said: “Exercise your rights, give power to the people and sign up for your chance to win tickets to Britain’s biggest party. That’s right. You and a friend could be heading to Reading or Leeds 2024 from August 21 to 25.”
