Have your say on town’s budget

RESIDENTS in Gillingham are invited to a consultation event in the new year to discuss how the budget is set.

The annual budget requires Gillingham Town Council to make a series of careful decisions to ensure essential services are maintained while delivering value for money.

A town council spokesman said: “We are committed to strong and responsible financial management, supported by clear processes and full transparency in how public funds are allocated.”

As part of this commitment, a public engagement event will be held at Gillingham Town Hall on Tuesday, January 6 at 7.30pm to discuss the draft budget.

Anyone wishing to attend must contact the town clerk by Monday, January 5 to book a place.
