Great Motcombe Santa Run, Sunday 5th Decemeber

On your marks, get set, GO! Santa’s on the run at school

The Great Motcombe Santa Run is set to bring some much-needed joy, fun and outdoor exercise to the village – plus thousands of pounds for the school.

The last event in 2019 raised almost £4,000 for Motcombe Primary School’s PTA, which helped fund the new Spiritual Garden and Forest School, both of which give the Motcombe students and teachers some much-needed space for outdoor learning, relaxation and reflection.

The run takes place on Sunday, December 5, at 10am and the 3km course runs around Motcombe village, with runners (or walkers) dressed up in festive gear – expect to see lots of Santa hats!

There will be plenty of prizes – organisers have had some generous donations from Bramley, Neal’s Yard, Yapp Brothers, Hayward’s Hampers and Old Chapel Flowers – as well as a jazzercise warm-up before the race, plenty of carols, mince pies, cake and mulled wine.

Everyone is welcome – there will be plenty of local residents and lots of pupils and parents from Motcombe Primary School getting involved, as well as pupils and staff from Port Regis. Motcombe Runners will be there, too.

Entry is £5, £2 for under 4s and under 1s free.
