Great effort by Wessex Morris Men

Dancers and musicians from Dorset’s longest-established Morris team have raised more than £500 for the School-In-A-Bag charity.

Wessex Morris Men, who were founded in 1957, collected money at events and donated money themselves towards the £561 total.

School In A Bag provides rucksacks full of essential resources to poor, orphaned, disadvantaged and disaster-affected children around the world. The School Bags enable a child to write, draw, colour, calculate, express themselves, eat, drink, wash and above all, learn.

Wessex Morris Men have now returned to their Monday night practice sessions at Pulham Village Hall in north Dorset.

New dancers, whether experienced or complete novices, are welcome to join.

People can just turn up or email David Pritchard on squire@wessexmorrismen.co.uk for more details. Sessions start at 8pm and the Satnav reference is
DT2 7DZ.
