Glastonbury Festival 2024 ticket sales pushed back amid registration issues

THE ticket sale for the 2024 Glastonbury Festival has been dramatically moved back by two weeks – on the day they were set to be snapped up.

As festival fans prepared for the battle to secure entry to the Somerset event – set to run from June 26 to 30 at Worthy Farm in Pilton – organisers announced the delay.

They said the move was “to ensure everyone who would like to buy a ticket is registered and therefore eligible to purchase one”.

In order to buy a ticket for Glastonbury, people must be registered before the sales.

After the 2023 event, those who registered to buy tickets before 2020 were warned their details could be deleted if not checked and updated.

“This was in order to ensure that the details we hold are current and that we do not store individuals’ information for any longer than is necessary,” the festival said.

“These registrants were asked to take action to confirm their registration if they wished to keep it.

“As always, registration was then closed on Monday (October 30) ahead of the ticket sale.

“Unfortunately, it has come to light that some individuals hoping to buy tickets for 2024 have discovered after Monday’s registration deadline that they are no longer registered, despite believing they were.

“Out of fairness to those individuals, we will be re-opening the window for registration at noon on Monday, November 6. It will remain open until 5pm on Monday, November 13.”

The pause means the new 2024 Glastonbury ticket sales will take place on:
Tickets plus coach travel: 6pm on Thursday, November 16
General admission tickets: 9am on Sunday, November 19

People are now urged to check their registration before the sale, or submit fresh details.

“We apologise for the late change to the ticket sale dates, but we want to ensure that everyone who would like to buy a ticket for next year’s festival is able to confirm their registration ahead of the sale,” the Glastonbury spokesperson added.
