Gillingham’s Repair Café is now open from 2-4pm – on the second Saturday of every month. A team of ‘fixers’ will be available to perform straightforward repairs at the Slade Centre in the Square, with the aim of cutting down on items sent to landfill.
Visitors can bring tools, small appliances (such as kettles and toasters), domestic items and simple bicycle problems and the fixers will try and save them. Coffee and tea are also available at the Slade Cafe and while there is no charge for repairs, donations are gratefully received.
The Repair Café has moved to the Vicarage School Rooms, just opposite St Marys Church in Gillingham.
Open on the second Saturday of each month, from 12:30 – 3:30pm.
