A NEW national poll contains some stark warnings for incumbent candidates across Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire.
The YouGov survey, released on Wednesday evening, details a possible 200-seat majority for Labour (with 425 seats) after the July 4 poll – with the Conservatives dropping to just 108 seats.
However the projection, which surveyed almost 40,000 people, also broke down the possible results in each UK constituency – and forecast some potential shocks in our area, with the Liberal Democrats being predicted to take a number of high-profile Conservative seats, including Wells & Mendip Hills and Taunton & Wellington.
If the prediction came to pass, it would see the likes of Marcus Fysh (Con, Yeovil), Chris Loder (West Dorset) and Rebecca Pow (Con, Taunton Deane) lose their seats.
John Penrose (Con, Weston) would also lose his seat to Labour, should the forecast prove correct.
