THERE is a new venue for the annual Autumn Fair of the Friends of Blandford Community Hospital, which will be held on Saturday, October 21.

Always a popular and well-supported event in the Blandford Corn Exchange, the Friends had to seek an alternative premises when they learned theirs might not be available this year.

And where better than The Exchange in Sturminster Newton, another town served by the hospital which, like Blandford, has a fundraising shop for its Friends.

As usual, there will be a vast array of bargains from the shops on offer between 9.30am and 3pm, ranging from clothing and gifts, collectibles, jewellery, toys, cakes and home produce, together with festive items including decorations and the Friends’ own Christmas cards.

There will also be a chance to win one of the fantastic prizes in the Friends’ raffle which will be drawn on the day.
