Food, drink, crafts, music and more at Dorset Food & Arts Festival

A BUMPER crop of local food, drink, art, crafts, music and more will be on offer at an event in Dorchester next month.

The Dorset Food and Arts Festival returns on Saturday, August 5, running between 10am and 3pm at the Great Field, Poundbury.

Organisers said visitors can expect more than 60 stalls, with something for everyone.

Dorset Food & Arts Festival coordinator, Caz Richards, said: “We really hope the local community and staycationers will come and support this popular event and look forward to seeing everyone.

“Shopping and in the fresh air, catching up with friends and supporting local producers, it’s a winning combination.”

Held on the Saturday closest to the late Queen Mother’s birthday, the festival follows the pattern of previous years, with free entry, and is supported by the Duchy of Cornwall.

Caz added: “We shifted the festival location in 2021 to the Great Field in Poundbury to give us more space and to operate safely as we emerged from the pandemic.

“But we look forward to reimagining the event for 2024 in partnership with the Duchy of Cornwall and residents.”
