Fire crews called to Shaftesbury property after kitchen fire

A SAUCEPAN left on a cooker led to fire crews being called out to a Shaftesbury property.

Two crews from the town were sent to an address in Anstee Road at around 2pm on Wednesday afternoon (August 23).

A Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The fire, which was out before the crews arrived, involved a saucepan left on the cooker.

“Firefighters used a ventilation fan to clear the smoke from the property.”

It is understood no one was hurt in the incident.
