SHOP windows in Blandford serving up a festive feast of decorations were rewarded with certificates.

Last week, Mayor of Blandford Forum, Councillor Hugo Mieville, accompanied by Mace Bearer David Jardine, was out and about meeting shopkeepers and presenting them with honours for their efforts.

He said it was a “great pleasure” to present awards to the winners of the Christmas Window Competition – and praised all who took part.

“The judges were very impressed with the large number of shops that took part and the high standard of those involved,” a Blandford Town Council spokesperson said.

Winners of the Blandford Christmas Window Competition 2023:
1st place: Papyrus
2nd place: DW VAPES
3rd place: Exclusively Yours Bridal Boutique
Charity/Not for Profit Window: Prama

As well as the top three, highly commended certificates were handed to the following premises for their displays:
Nelsons Ale House
Service Appliances Ltd
Ragtags of Blandford Forum
Dec the Halls
The Linen Basket
Cotton Moon

“Thank you to everyone for taking the time decorate their windows helping to make Blandford look festive,” the spokesperson added.
