DRIVERS are being warned to be careful amid rising water levels as rain returns this week – with one Dorset driver already rescued.
Dorset Police said Roke Road, in Bere Regis, is currently flooded – and thanked farmers who had come to the aid of one member of the public on the route.
“Due to the scale of rainfall, adding to the existing volumes of surface water, we would like to remind members of the public to take care on the roads,” a spokesperson said.
“There is currently a flooded area of road on Roke Road, Bere Regis.

“I would like to say a very big thank you to two very kind farmers who stopped and assisted in pulling a member of the public’s vehicle out of the water.
“Small acts of kindness – and very wet boots. Travel safe and thank you.”
However, the Met Office is not forecasting significant rainfall in the coming days, giving hope to road users.
