SUMMARY:Ballet Under the Stars
DESCRIPTION:Ballet Under the Stars at Hatch House\, 24th-26th July 2026\nCovent Garden Dance celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026\, marking two decades of presenting world-class ballet and dance in some of the most distinctive settings in the UK and internationally. \nEvery summer\, set within the enchanting 17th-century walled Dutch garden at Hatch House\, Ballet Under the Stars takes place. The garden setting is transformed into a fully covered dinner theatre. The performances unfold beneath a canopy of flora where ballet\, live music and fine dining combine to create an atmosphere that feels closer to a continental arts festival than a conventional gala. The audiences will enjoy a programme of twelve short works — spanning classical\, neo-classical and contemporary repertoire — interwoven with a three-course dinner. \nThis year’s performances welcome a truly star-studded international cast in celebration of the company’s 20-year anniversary. Audiences will experience exceptional artistry from Myriam Ould-Braham and Mickaël Lafon of the Paris Opera Ballet\, alongside Joy Womack and Xander Parish representing the Mariinsky Ballet. They are joined by leading artists from the English National Ballet\, including Taela Rose Graff and Zai Calliste\, among many others\, creating an extraordinary evening that brings together some of the finest talent on the international stage.\nTwenty years on\, Covent Garden Dance continues to prove that ballet can thrive far beyond the traditional opera house or theatre and that some of the most memorable performances happen not beneath chandeliers\, but under the summer stars. \nTickets from £185 \nTo book:\nE: production@coventgardendance.com\nT: 01749 813313\nwww.coventgardendance.com

SUMMARY:Karina Devi Chauhan - Artist
DESCRIPTION:After Karina’s successful exhibitions in 2023 at Thelma Hulbert Gallery Open Exhibition\, Southwest Academy Open Exhibition and Winner of Young Artist of Southwest. She had taken a break to pursue her career in landscaping. Due to the high level of interest in her artwork. She has decided to pick up her brushes again and pursue her passion of oil paints. \nInitially working with small-scale watercolours\, Karina transitioned into oil painting after receiving her first set of paints. Beginning with portraits of friends\, she developed a distinctive style characterised by deep\, dark tones\, careful attention to detail\, and a strong sense of depth. Her fascination with form led her to study marble sculpture—particularly the drama and realism of Baroque sculptors—which continues to influence her work today. \nKarina’s current body of work explores the intersection between human presence and classical stillness. Blending still life and figurative painting\, she reimagines her subjects as sculptural forms—transforming living people into marble-like figures rendered in oil. Hands\, in particular\, play a central role in her practice\, often commissioned for weddings and personal pieces\, capturing moments of connection\, intimacy\, and memory.\nHer paintings invite the viewer to come closer—to trace the contours of a face\, a hand\, a gesture—yet they remain deliberately out of reach. There is a quiet tension in this: forms that appear tangible and solid\, yet are ultimately “untouchable.” This interplay between realism and illusion gives her work a striking\, almost timeless quality. \nNow preparing for her first solo exhibition in Dorset in May 2026. Karina present a collection that reflects both her technical growth and her unique artist voice. This exhibition offers an opportunity to experience the work of a young emerging artist. Whose practice bridges classical influence with a contemporary sensibility.
