DORSET Neuro Rehab in Dorchester could soon have three awards to its name.

This comes after it received both the Community Support Award and the Young Entrepreneur/Rising Star Award at the Dorchester Business Awards in April.

Winning these awards means the business has been shortlisted for the West Dorset Business Awards – which are taking place tomorrow (July 3).

Organised by Marketing West, the West Dorset Business Awards are the ‘Winners of the Winners’ from the Bridport, Dorchester, Portland and Weymouth Business Awards.

Speaking on his award success, Ian Denslow from Dorset Neuro Rehab, said: “Physiotherapists don’t pursue this career for accolades—we do it to help people reclaim their lives and to empower them to live as fully and independently as possible.

“That said, when recognition does come, it truly means the world. It reinforces why we do what we do, and it’s incredibly motivating.

“This marks the first time we’ve been nominated—and the first time I’ve ever received a business award.

“I’m immensely proud of that milestone and deeply grateful to the person who put us forward, as well as to every client who has taken the time to leave a positive review. Their support is at the heart of our progress.

Judges at the Dorchester Business Awards said they were “humbled” by Ian’s work and “very moved at how devotedly he endeavours to help his patients fulfil their potential after illness or an accident”.

Ian added: “I was delighted, humbled, and admittedly a little overwhelmed to be recognised at this year’s business awards.

“While I was aware we had been nominated for one category, receiving a second nomination came as a complete surprise.

“In fact, when the ‘Young Entrepreneur’ category was announced, I turned to my wife and asked, ‘How young do you think you need to be to win that?’ She laughed and replied, ‘Younger than you!'”
