Dog that went missing from Gillingham found safe and well, say police

A DOG it was feared had been stolen from Gillingham has been found ‘safe and well’.

Police said that on Sunday, September 10, Jessie the German Shepherd was reported as being stolen from her home in ‘rural Gillingham’.

Now, Dorset Police has confirmed, following enquiries by officers, she has been found safe and well.

PC Sebastian Haggett, of the Dorset Rural Crime Team, said: “I would like to thank the members of the public that stepped forward to assist in this investigation.

“While the full facts are still being ascertained, we are happy that Jessie has been found safe and reunited with her owner.”
