Charity Rotary cycle will set off from Gold Hill in Shaftesbury next month

CHARITABLE cyclists will hit the road in aid of various good causes next month.

The 2024 Shaftesbury Rotary Club North Dorset Cycle Ride is set to take place on Sunday, May 19.

Starting and finishing on the iconic Gold Hill, the event offer participants the chance to complete 25- and 50-mile routes, with all those taking part receiving a special medal.

The 50km ride will start from 8.30am, and the 25km ride from 9.30am on Park Walk. Registration opens an hour before the rides start.

This year, the main beneficiary will be the Hope 2 Cycle charity, which helps people in North Dorset and beyond.

And for the third year running, the event will be sponsored by BV Dairy, whose staff will be on hand throughout the event with refreshments.
